Spring Fever: IPFW Dinner Series

Wednesday, 4/13/11, 6:30 PM, $43.20 per person- Sycamore Hills Golf Club celebrates “Spring Fever.” Come join us to celebrate the arrival of spring, fantastic food, and fantastic company at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. There is a cash bar that is available. Guests are to dress casually. For ticket information please contact Continuing Studies at (260) 481-6619.

Minestrone Soup
Mixed variety of vegetables, noodles, and white beans in a rich broth

Spring Spinach
Fresh spinach with tomato wedges, shaved carrots, and feta cheese. Topped with chef’s choice of vinaigrette and balsamic reduction

Lime-Glazed Pork Chop
Mouth watering 8 oz. pork chop grilled to perfection. Seasoned with spices, and topped with lime glaze

Grilled Asparagus
Fresh asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto

Roasted Fingerling Potatoes
Tossed in a light olive oil and spices

Bread
Loaf of bread sliced, served with creamy butter

Raspberry/Apple Crisp
Warmed flavorful crisp with a dash of vanilla ice cream

Beverages
Unsweet tea, lemonade, water, and soda

A Night at Mardi Gras: IPFW Dinner Series

Wednesday, 4/6/11, 6:30 PM, $35 per person – “A Night at Mardi Gras” at Paula’s on Main. Celebrate with us a belated Mardi Gras. The night will unfold with New Orleans style food, jazzy music, and lots of fun! Cash bar will be available. Please contact Continuing Studies for ticket information at 260-481-6619.

Alligator Creole
Lightly tossed in cornmeal and fried served over a robust creamy Creole sauce

Roasted Garlic Bisque with Okra Croutons
Slow roasted garlic in a rich cream base, topped with fried okra

Louis Armstrong Salad
Mixed greens with grape tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and a honey and Creole mustard vinaigrette garnished with scallions

Chicken, Shrimp, & Andouille Sausage Gumbo
Succulent chicken thighs, jumbo shrimp, and spicy andouille sausage slathered in a classical gumbo base served over fluffy rice

Collard Greens & Black-Eyed Peas
A customary Southern dish

Cornbread Assortment
Variety of jalapeno, cheese, bacon, and traditional Southern-style cornbread served with a whipped honey butter spread

Chocolate Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce
A twist on a New Orleans original, dusted with powdered sugar, drizzled with caramel sauce, and garnished with raspberries

Rockin Good Time: IPFW Dinner Series

Wednesday, 3/23/11, 6:30 PM, $37.80 per person- IPFW and Visit Fort Wayne present a “Rockin Good Time” dinner and dance event at the Orchid Catering and Events. Please join us for a night of great food and dancing to the oldies as we eat to the beat! So put your dancing shoes on!  Please call Continuing Studies at 260-481-6619 for tickets.

This simple twist of tomato soup contains vine ripened tomatoes with a dose of cream for sweetness.

Rockin’ Spinach Salad
This colorful spinach salad combines mandarin oranges bursting with flavor, dried cranberries, toasted almonds, and is topped with blue cheese crumbles and a raspberry vinaigrette.

Prime Rib
Slow roasted mouthwatering prime rib cooked to perfection.

Boppin’ Baked Potato
Simple baked potato served with butter and sour cream.

Oldie but a Goodie Home-style Green Beans
Just how you remember them, delicious green beans served with onions and crumbled bacon.
